RedStart founders and designers Amanda Knox, Sara Shaughnessy and Kim Hoffmann met as graduate students in Design and Mechanical Engineering at Stanford. Discovering their mutual interest in jewelry-making, they soon banded together to start their own studio, where they regularly take advantage of their skills in problem solving and design.

They now have six lines of gorgeous jewelry designs, including those that call attention to such issues as breast cancer and violence against women. They still find time to teach, in addition to traveling to festivals and tradeshows, making their work together thoroughly inspiring.
