The Canine Confections company recipe: start with years of experience running a ranch, fold in years of working with animals as common as Cockers and as rare as orangutans, then knead in years running a pet store and a decade of baking. Sprinkle generously with love. The BeginningThe origins of Canine Confections can be traced to the time when Cesar and Sandra Estrada’s dog was diagnosed with diabetes. In trying to deal with their dog's affliction, Cesar and Sandra were frustrated with the lack of natural dog treats that were both healthful and tasty. So the Estrada's took matters into their own hands. In 1996, Cesar and Sandra baked their first healthy dog cookie, a sesame garlic heart, and Canine Confections was born. The Canine Confection baking company was a natural step for the Estrada's, who had spent years working with animals, studying nutrition and experimenting with natural, healthful baking. The Heart
With thirty years of pet and nutrition experience, the Estradas work hard to make the tastiest and healthiest possible dog treats. The Estrada's personally bake each treat and test each newly created product with their many, extremely happy resident dogs. They choose their ingredients carefully: no artificial colors, no unidentifiable by-products, no chemical preservatives and no wheat, corn or soy, since many dogs have adverse reactions to those ingredients. The Estrada's use all-natural, human-grade and organic ingredients. And Canine Confections products are all vegetarian. The HighlightsThe Estradas’ motivation is straightforward. They know that dogs—whether guides, searchers, protectors or playmate pets—give unconditional love. The Estrada's rightfully believe that for all that dogs do and are, they deserve nothing less than the highest possible quality natural treats. And Sandra and Cesar deliver. We, at Elegant Roots, thank Cesar and Sandra for providing these wonderfully healthy treats. We've had a growing concern about imported, tainted animal food, and some recent unfortunate experiences of our own. We're proud to offer our customers this safe, fun and unique way to honor a favorite canine. Gifts with style and relevance from a socially responsible small business . . . |
